Our first episode dedicated to Córdoba
“The world is a book and those who don’t travel only read one page.”
San Agustín
Almost two years since our production team started designing what was then just an idea for an audiovisual project.
Why Sepharad?
It is indisputable that Spain is rich in history and it is also indisputable that in Spain the richest people in culture of each era have lived (Romans, Arabs, Jews, Christians …). Each and every one of these cultures have left their mark on the current Spanish culture and, especially, they have transmitted their art, their languages, their way of life.
One of the least known cultures in Spain and in the rest of the world is the Sepharad legacy, a Jewish culture that we do not know in good measure and as it deserves.
As soon as our team investigated, we found the audiovisual possibilities offered by the Sepharad legacy incredible and, certainly, a challenge that we immediately wanted to make a reality.
We wanted to create a new model of cultural diffusion to transmit the historical facts and chain it with the creation of tourist routes that attract tourists to contemplate places that are part of the SEPHARDIC culture.
The purpose of this proposal is to attract, through the persuasion of Virtual Reality, the interest and the trip to certain destinations and cultural tourism products, successively more motivating and desired.
In this way, we seek to create a new flow of tourists, especially international, to the cultural tourist routes that we are going to promote.
We have observed how countries like Germany have based their growth in the reception of international tourists on the promotion of cultural tourism, becoming the leading country for receiving European tourists who visit Germany for their interest in its culture and making cultural tourism its main attraction, achieving, in addition, higher expenditure / person ratios than other tourism models.
We have selected the Sephardic world and culture for different reasons:
- Great cultural heritage on the one hand, although we can add its lack of expansion and knowledge.
- Spain is the cradle of this culture, the base and where we can find places, events and history with the highest value for this community.
- High international repercussion due to the diaspora and international establishment of this culture.
To carry out our project, we hope to have the support of international entities and the dissemination of the project and receptive public and private entities in the target areas of this project.
